I mean if that includes the PS2, and it only sold 100k that's nothing.
I remember the article also saying that sales were up to 100k from the 30k - 40k from before. I know PS3/PS2 combined wasn't selling 40k.
VG chartz was so wrong... that means there's a good chance that Sony is teling the truth, they did sell 100k consoles in the week after the 40GB came out.

VG charts was scaring me, they have been cutting XBOX 360 sales recently and they had them at like 600k. I was thinking SH*T, XBOX 360 is probably selling 700k this month or something.

The PS3 is a great kickstarter for Blu ray but it's needs to be stand alone players that actually win it.
Right now I'm not sure enough people care about HD in general for this to matter. The only thing that sells HD movies is the Mega blockbuster hits. Movies like Transformers and Spider-man 3.
In my opinion Blu ray still has the more mainstream movies to get peoples attention and the PS3 to play them on.

The bright side of things for HD DVD is that it could win big this Christmas, the bad side is that it could loose big this Christmas. Nobody knows for sure.

Atleast I can enjoy that Blu ray is having success. Giving away a blu ray player with the purchase of a TV is a great way to get Blu ray into peoples homes.

If it's true... MORE than 100k of both PS3 and PS2 combined in a week can mean alot of things.
If could mean 50/50, 60/40, 70/30? Even if PS3 sales are 50k in a week that's 200k average for the month.
200k is more than 121k, so yes PS3 sales are rising. But not anything like 400k a week or anything.
